Pro-Nox™ Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Certified Pro-Nox™ Comfort Zone?
This aesthetic practice has proven its commitment to patient comfort and peace of mind by investing in the #1 Nitrous-Oxide System for aesthetics throughout the USA. As a Pro-Nox Comfort Zone, the staff has been trained by a Pro-Nox representative.
What is Pro-Nox™?
Pro-Nox™ is a proven, safe analgesic gas delivery system that utilizes a 50/50 mix of Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen. In simpler terms, Pro-Nox™ is comparable to “laughing gas” because it relieves treatment pain, stress, anxiety, and overall discomfort by safely inducing a more relaxed and euphoric state of being.
How does it work?
Pro-Nox™ is inhaled using interchangeable breathing circuits, ensuring complete protection against germs and other viral bacteria.
YOU are in complete control when using Pro-Nox™. The Pro-Nox™ on-demand valve allows for 100% self-administration, ensuring maximum safety for patients and staff — you inhale however much you need based on how much relief you need from pain or anxiety. This practice is a Pro-Nox™ Comfort Zone, staffed with specially trained professionals who will guide you through the inhalation process. PRO TIP: Use the nose clip for best results.
Is Pro-Nox™ safe?
Yes! Pro-Nox™ is FDA cleared and the most trusted pain management solution for over 8,000 offices in the United States and Canada! It has been used by millions of patients. Unlike anesthesia,
Pro-Nox™ does NOT cause patients to “go under” or to fall into complete sedation. Instead, its analgesia elicits temporary pain relief without losing total consciousness and without losing your sense of feeling, and/or movement during your procedure.
In fact, Pro-Nox™ has been a popular, trusted addition for use in labor and delivery. Since it is safe for mothers and their unborn children, then you can rest assured that Pro-Nox™ is safe for you!
What does Pro-Nox™ feel like?
Upon your initial 5-7 breaths of Pro-Nox™, most patients describe what they feel next as being “like I’m Cloud 9." All their pre-treatment stress, procedure pain, and general discomfort fades away. They suddenly feel lighter, calmer, and ready to confidently undergo any treatment! And of course, some patients will feel like they’ve taken laughing gas and become more “giggly” and “happy.”
Am I a good candidate for Pro-Nox™?
Almost anyone is the perfect candidate for Pro-Nox™, especially if you’re feeling anxious about treatment, hate needles, or are unsure of undergoing a treatment that seems painful. Since
Pro-Nox™, has been proven to be safe and effective for expecting mothers and their unborn children, you are most likely a good candidate to use Pro-Nox™ during your aesthetic procedure! As a Pro-Nox™ Comfort Zone, we can accurately gauge whether you are an ideal candidate for Pro-Nox™ and review the few contraindications.
What are the side effects?
Some patients describe feeling as though they’ve had a few cocktails, like a “happy buzz,” or they feel extremely relaxed. Others become a little “giggly” and bubbly. You will notice a slight deepening in your voice after initial administration. In rare cases, patients may feel a bit light-headed. Overall, Pro-Nox™ provides an anti-anxiety effect, making you feel as comfortable and laid back as you would at the beach or spa.
Can I drive home afterwards?
Yes! Once your medical or aesthetic procedure is complete, the analgesic effects of Pro-Nox™ will diminish within about 10-15 minutes. One of patients’ (and doctors’) favorite things about Pro-Nox™ is that it is short-lasting, so you can come in for treatment and safely drive yourself home, return to work, etc. without a problem.
Will Pro-Nox™ eliminate 100% of my treatment pain?
There is never a 100% guarantee that you will feel absolutely no pain. Most Pro-Nox™ patients report up to an 85% reduction in pain and/or anxiety — making any of their medical or aesthetic treatments a breeze.
Which treatments can I use Pro-Nox™ with?
Pro-Nox™ is used for a wide variety of aesthetic, medical, and regenerative treatments. It is most commonly used in medical aesthetics for Radiofrequency Microneedling (RFMN), Fractional CO2 laser treatments, injectables, and more. However, Pro-Nox™ is also effective when used in regenerative medicine and core practices for PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections, urology procedures like vasectomies and prostate biopsies, and even obstetrics-gynecology and labor and delivery!
